Pregnancy Update, 39 Weeks

Hello week 39! I was scared I won't get to "greet" you. Everyone has been telling me how the 2nd baby comes earlier than expected and although anytime now is considered "full term", I consider it "early" if it's not the due date... LOL. My OBGYN had me "on call" since October 1st and it's "any day now"... So I'm happy to report that I made it halfway through the first week of October and my prayer every night is that baby Janie continues to stay in until her due date.

Today is pretty significant because it was the first day of my maternity leave. There's been some work drama and stress since I left but you know what, I had to really let go and let God handle it. The more I thought about it, the more stress it'd put on me and I just really really didn't need that. So, ever since I told myself "forget it", I had the best day ever!

I treated myself to a day date with myself- and I didn't realize how much I needed and appreciated it til I did it! I watched a movie that I've been dying to watch (Bad Moms) and grabbed iced mint mojito coffee (decaf) at Philz Coffee.

If you ever felt like a "bad mom" (which is all moms), I totally recommend it.

A cup of minty goodness to sweeten up my day!

Later in the afternoon, I made a Target run (to return, but hey! Target run is a Target run), and spent the evening at Chuck E Cheese with Halie and Han. Again, people tell me to go out to a nice/fancy restaurant and enjoy this time before baby comes but if we go out, all I want to do is create more memories with Halie and let her know how much we love her- before we're all trapped in the house for x amount of weeks. So I chose to go to Chuck E Cheese and we had a blast! Halie hit jackpot two times and all on her own, she won 250-ish tickets!

Needless to say, I'm very glad I decided to take my maternity leave two days earlier than planned. Thank you husband and friends who (ferociously) convinced me to just rest and stay home. Now, let the waiting game begin!
