Hello first day of Fall! LA welcomed you today with a light shower in the morning and the perfect fall weather... too bad it'll be in the upper 90's over the weekend. (le sigh)
I am so ready for the "chilly" fall weather to kick in... honestly, I'm over my pregnancy clothes and ready to just start layering and wearing big/thick clothes. And just cozying up on the couch with a throw and a nice hot cup of coffee/hot chocolate/tea... wine/beer.... (LOL) and watching a sleeping infant that I probably won't be able to take my eyes off of.
One way to mark the start of Fall is with school pictures. Am I right, teachers & parents?
Every parent looks forward to their children's school picture day- to document their cuteness, growth, and style over time. Teachers look forward to their students' school picture day because that's the day majority of their students come to school (for once) looking like they care and took the time to get ready for school.
Anywho, this past Monday was Halie's FIRST ever school picture day. Oh boy, how that turned out...
Let's timeline this:
7:15am - get Halie dressed in a cute top (that she chose) with leggings. Put hair in ponytail with a cute flower hair clip to get the bangs off her face.
8:15am - get a text from Han.
9:01am - respond to Han.
5:15pm - pick up Halie from daycare, see that ALL the girls are wearing dresses and/or moms are carrying second outfits for their children.
Oh well. I meant what I sent Han... I wanted Halie's school photos to depict exactly the type of student that she is, having fun and getting down and dirty, covered in dirt and whatnot.
So without further ado, here are her first ever school pictures!
Han and I got these photos back and we just laughed. We love that these photos truly do reflect her days at school- she plays and eats well, and NEVER returns home the same way I dress her.
It was an unforgettable first ever school picture day, to be remembered and cherished for forever!
